Simon Leach (Member of Parliament)

Simon Leach (c. 1652 – June 1708) was an English politician who sat as MP for Okehampton in 1685 till 1687 and 1702 till 1705.

He was the son of Simon Leach and Bridget, the daughter of Sir Bevill Granville of Stowe. On 18 June 1673, he married Mary, the daughter of Thomas Clifford, 1st Baron Clifford. His father died in 1660.

In May 1692, he was arrested as a Jacobite suspect but was released without trial.[1]
