"Sick Love" is a song by the British singer–songwriter Vince Kidd, featuring British rapper Lady Leshurr. It was released as the lead single from his debut extended play Sick Love on 4 November 2012 through Universal/Island Records. Written by Kidd, Leshurr and the Scottish musician Leon Jackson, the single was accompanied by an official music video.
Background
After finishing fourth on the first series of The Voice UK, Vince Kidd began releasing original material and covers. The eight-track EP Sick Love, containing the title track, was released on 4 November 2012. The track features a guest verse from Lady Leshurr and was promoted via digital retailers and streaming platforms.
Release and promotion
The single and EP were released on 4 November 2012. The official music video for Sick Love was published on Vince Kidd's official YouTube channel and was noted in interviews and press coverage. The controversial video showed bondage-clad nuns and nurses with dwarfism.[1]
Chart performance
Sick Love appeared on the Official Hip Hop & R&B Singles Chart, peaking at number 34 on 17 November 2012.[2]
