The Sendai 89ers (仙台89ERS, Sendai Eitinaināzu) are a Japanese professional basketball team based in Sendai, Japan. The 89ers compete in the first division of the B.League as a member of the Eastern Conference. The team name is based on the city's founding year, 1889.[2]
