Sascha Boumedienne (born January 17, 2007) is a Swedish ice hockey player for the Boston University of the Hockey East. Boumedienne was drafted 28th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2025 NHL entry draft.[1]
Personal
Boumedienne was born in Oulu, Finland, but he spent most of his youth in Sweden and the United States.[2] His father, Josef Boumedienne, is a Swedish former professional hockey player who appeared in 47 NHL games but spent most of his 17-year career in Europe. Sascha is of Finnish descent through his paternal grandmother and Algerian descent through his paternal grandfather.[3]
