Sam Roush is an American college football tight end for the Stanford Cardinal.
Early life
Roush attended Valley Christian School in San Jose, California before transferring to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.[1][2] He also played defense in high school and was the 2021 Tennessee Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Roush committed to the University of Iowa to play college football.[3]
College career
Roush played at Stanford from 2022 to 2025. He became a starter during his sophomore year in 2023.[4] For his career he had 119 receptions for 1,201 yards and four touchdowns.
Personal life
His uncles, Merlin Olsen and Orrin Olsen, and grandfather Phil Olsen all played in the NFL.[5]
