SOFTSWISS is an international technology brand headquartered in Malta, with development centres in Poland and Georgia. The company operates on a B2B model, developing software solutions for online gaming, affiliate marketing, as well as payment processing services.
History
In 2009, SOFTSWISS was founded as a brand offering web design and web development services and transitioned into the iGaming sector in 2012.[2][3][4]
In 2013, SOFTSWISS became one of the first companies to introduce cryptocurrency payments in online casinos.[5][6][7]
In 2020, the company established its head office in Gżira, Malta. It then expanded its development network with centres in Poznań, Poland (2021), Tbilisi, Georgia (2022) and Warsaw, Poland (2023).[8]
In 2023, SOFTSWISS won Best Aggregator at both the SiGMA Eurasia Awards[9] and the SiGMA Europe Awards,[10] was honoured as Platform Provider of the Year at the SiGMA Americas Awards, received the B2B Marketing Campaign award at the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards,[11] and the Aggregator Platform award at the EGR B2B Awards.[12]
In January 2024, SOFTSWISS was awarded the Great Place to Work certificate in Poland.[13]
In January 2024, SOFTSWISS acquired a majority stake in Turfsport, a South African company specialising in the development of wagering software for sports betting, horse racing, and lotto.[14]
In April 2024, the Brazilian racer Rubens Barrichello was appointed SOFTSWISS’ Non-Executive Director in Latin America, aiming to enhance the company’s presence in the region.[15][16][17][18]
SOFTSWISS also collaborates with the Barrichello Family Institute on charity projects.[19]
In 2024, the company was awarded as the B2B Marketing Campaign at EGR Marketing&Innovation Awards,[20] and Affilka by SOFTSWISS became Affiliate software supplier at EGR B2B Awards 2024.[21]
In 2025, SOFTSWISS`s Deputy Chief Technology Officer, Sergey Kastukevich, received the CTO of the Year Award from Oracle.[22]
Controversies
SOFTSWISS and several companies historically linked to its founder Ivan Montik have been the subject of media scrutiny and occasional regulatory attention relating to the broader online-gambling and cryptocurrency sectors.[23]
While SOFTSWISS itself has not been formally accused of criminal wrongdoing, a number of controversies have been reported in connection with its ecosystem, partners, or former subsidiaries.[24]
Licences and certifications
SOFTSWISS is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority Critical Gaming Supplies licence number MGA/B2B/942/2022.[25]
In 2023, SOFTSWISS received GLI-19 and GLI-33 certifications from Gaming Laboratories International.[26]
In August 2024, it secured certification to operate in South Africa.[27]
In 2025, SOFTSWISS expanded its international presence by securing certifications in Brazil and Peru.[28][29]
Charity
In 2023, SOFTSWISS raised funds to support people affected by the earthquakes in Turkey.[30]
In May 2024, in response to severe flooding in Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state, SOFTSWISS launched a charity initiative to support affected communities. The company collaborated with Movimento União BR and PWTECH to deliver essential supplies and install water purification equipment in local schools.[31][32]
Later that year, following floods in southern Poland caused by Storm Boris, SOFTSWISS made a financial donation to the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy, a Polish charity organisation. In November 2024, SOFTSWISS was awarded for its contribution to the development of Poznań.[33]
