Ramaranjan Baliarsingh, is an Indian politician from Odisha and a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Satyabadi Assembly constituency in the Odisha Legislative Assembly. He has a political career that involved affiliations with several parties before becoming an Independent. He resigned from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), citing that a "coterie of bureaucrats and a few leaders" controlled the party. He resigned from the BJP, stating that he felt "betrayed and dissatisfied with party affairs".
Political career
Baliarsingh was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Satyabadi Assembly constituency in Puri district in 2004.[1]
In January 2018, he resigned from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), alleging that the party was being controlled by a coterie of bureaucrats and a few leaders.[1]
In May 2024, he quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), citing betrayal and dissatisfaction with party affairs.[2]
