Rakytník (Hungarian: Rakottyás) is a village and municipality in the Rimavská Sobota District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia. As of the latest estimates, the population of Rakytník is approximately 317 residents.[4] The village is situated about 4 kilometers away from the main road connecting Bratislava and Košice, near the village of Bátka.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 181 metres (594 ft)[3] and covers an area of 8.36 km2 (3.23 sq mi) (2024).[5]
