Raúl Ferrera

Raúl Ferrera Torres was a Mexican architect and the business partner of Luis Barragán. He managed aspects of Barragán’s professional rights and legacy, and later became central to the history of Barragán’s archive after it left Mexico in the 1990s.[1][2]

Association with Luis Barragán

Barragán designated Ferrera as the recipient of his professional archive and related rights in his will.[3]

Barragán archive

After Ferrera’s death, the archive was offered for sale by his widow; it was acquired in the United States by dealer Max Protetch and subsequently purchased by Rolf Fehlbaum of Vitra, later becoming associated with the Barragan Foundation in Switzerland.[4][5][6]
