The third season of the One-Punch Man anime television series is based on the webcomic of the same name written by One and its subsequent manga remake illustrated by Yusuke Murata. A third season was announced in August 2022.[1] Most of the main cast and staff from the second season are reprising their roles.[2] The season is produced by J.C.Staff, with Shinpei Nagai replacing Chikara Sakurai as director, Sakura Murakami replacing both Shigemi Ikeda and Yukiko Maruyama as art director, and Yuki Hirose replacing Yoshio Ōkouchi as director of photography.[3] The third season premiered on October 12, 2025, with a recap special covering the second season airing a week before broadcast on October 5.[4][3] The season is streaming on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in Canada,[5][6] and on Crunchyroll in Europe and Middle East.[7]
The opening theme song is "Get No Satisfied!", performed by JAM Project featuring Babymetal, while the ending theme song is "Soko ni Aru Akari" (そこに有る灯り; lit. 'The Light, That's There'), performed by Makoto Furukawa.[8][9]

Reception
The third season premiere garnered mixed reviews from critics, describing it as a dialogue-heavy recap of the story thus far.[14] Subsequent episodes have received significant backlash from audiences for what has been described as low-quality animation. The intense criticism has caused the season's director, Shinpei Nagai, to deactivate his social media accounts over online harassment.[15] On IMDb, the sixth episode of the season, "Motley Heroes", received the lowest user episode score for any anime in the site's history,[16][17][18] sitting at a 1.4 rating scored by over 22,000 users as of December 2025.[19]
