Odprava zelenega zmaja is a novel by Slovenian author Slavko Pregl. It was first published in 1976. The stories Velika pustolovščina (The Great Adventure) and Odprava zelenega zmaja were originally published in a single book in 1976. A famous television series was made based on the novel.[1][2]
Plot
The novel is a popular youth classic that follows the adventures of three eighth-graders, Miha, Pipi, and Andrej, and their older friend, Bob, the only one with a driver's license. The boys manage to convince Bob to take them on a trip in their old car, "Old Punca," but they soon encounter an unexpected complication. They meet a girl named Janja, who has run away from home and steals the heart of one of the boys. Unbeknownst to them, Bob is secretly collaborating with the police. The story explores typical teenage issues like rivalry, egoism, and first loves.[2][1]
