Nowy Las [ˈnɔvɨ ˈlas] (German: Neuwalde)[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Głuchołazy, within Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border.[2] It lies approximately 7 km (4 mi) north-east of Głuchołazy, 15 km (9 mi) north-west of Prudnik, and 17 km (11 mi) south-east of Nysa.[3]
Before 1945, the village was called Neuwalde and was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
