Nikos Athanasiou (Greek: Νίκος Αθανασίου; born 16 March 2001) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Primeira Liga club Rio Ave on loan from Olympiacos.
Career
Athanasiou was born in Athens. He comes from the youth ranks of Atromitos.
In January 2025, Athanasiou scored in what would be an Atromitos tie to Panathinaikos in the Greek Cup.[1]
On 4 July 2025, Athanasiou joined Super League Greece club Olympiacos.[2] Four days later, he was sent on a season-long loan to Primeira Liga side Rio Ave.[3]
