Natascha Viljoen
Natascha Viljoen (born 1970) is a South African business executive, and the president and chief operating officer, and CEO-designate of Newmont, the world's largest gold mining company, and will become CEO in January 2026.
Viljoen is from Klerksdorp, a small mining town in North West Province.[1] She earned a Bachelor of Engineering from North West University, South Africa and an executive MBA from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.[2]
In February 2020, she became CEO of Anglo Platinum (Amplats).[1]
Viljoen is the president and chief operating officer of Newmont.[3]
On 29 September 2025, it was announced that Viljoen would succeed Tom Palmer as CEO of Newmont,[4] effective January 2026, when he retires.[3]
