Nasiruddin Khakwani

Peer Hafiz Muhammad Nasiruddin Khan Khakwani (مولانا پیر حافظ محمد ناصرالدین خان خاکوانی نقشبندی; born (15 October 1942) is a Pakistani Islamic scholar and current Emir of the Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat since August 2021.^[1][2]

Early life

Hadhrat Khakwani’s respected maternal grandmother (RA) had a dream around 20 years before his birth in which she saw a child and was informed that he is your son. She was instructed to name him ‘Nasiruddin’. After Hazrat Khakwani was born, Hadhrat Sayyid ‘Ataullah Shah Sahib Bukhari (RA) paid a visit to Hazrat Khakwani’s home in Multan and he instructed that the word ‘Hafiz’ be added to Hadhrat’s name (moreover, it was a well known speciality of the Khakwani family to have the children memorize the Qur’an Majeed in their childhood).

Khakwani has also served as Deputy Emir.^[3] After the death of Abdur Razzaq Iskander he was appointed as Emir of the Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat.^[4]

Spiritual Journey

His respected mothers name was Hayaat Bibi (rahmatullahi ‘alayha). Firstly, she gave bay’ah to Hadhrat Mawlana Husayn Ali Sahib¹ of Wan Bhachran (rahimahullah). After his passing away, she gave bay’ah to Hadhrat Mawlana Abdul Ghafoor Abbasi Madani² (rahimahullah), and after his passing away she gave bay’ah to Hadhrat Sayyid Muhammad ‘Alauddin Shah Saheb Jilani (R.A). She was a pious and righteous lady.

Hadhrat Maulana `Abdul Ghafoor `Abbasi Muhajir Madani (rahimahullah) was a senior khalifa of Hadrat Fazl Ali Shah Qureshi (R.A). He completed his religious studies in Madrassa Aminiyyah, Delhi under Hadhrat Mufti Kifayatullah Dehlawi (rahimahullah). Through him, the fuyoodhaat of Silsilah Naqshbandia Mujaddidia spread in the Arab and non-Arab lands. He was the Shaykh of Hadhrat Sayyid Muhammad Ala’uddin Shah Jilani (R.A).

Hazrat Khawani is the spiritual Khalifa of Hazrat Alauddin Shah Jilani, a highly revered saint of the Naqshbandi Sufi order. Hazrat Alauddin Shah Jilani is buried at Khanqah Darus-Salam, Sheikhupura. Hazrat Nasiruddin Khawani is continuing the mission of spiritual guidance and training through this blessed lineage.
