Mount Munara is a mountain located to the west of Bogor Regency in the province West Java, Indonesia. This mountain is located 40 km southwest of Jakarta and 12.1 km west of the nearest town of Parung, precisely in the Rumpin district.[1]

The terrain around Mount Munara is flat in the northeast, but hilly in the southwest. The nearest highest point is 580 meters above sea level, 4.1 km southwest of Mount Munara. The area around Mount Munara is quite densely populated, with 2,028 people/km2. The nearest town is Parung, 12.1 km east of Mount Munara. Around Mount Munara, green deciduous forests grow.[2]

Geography

The area has a tropical rainforest climate. The average annual temperature is 24°C. The hottest month is September, with an average temperature of 26°C, and the coldest is March, with 23°C. Average annual rainfall is 3,783 millimeters. The wettest month is December, with an average of 505mm of rainfall, and September is the driest, with 89mm of rainfall.[3]
