Miscellania (nightclub)

Miscellania is a nightclub in Melbourne, Australia.[1][2][3]

The club is located on the north side of the CBD, on Swanston Street nearby RMIT university.[1]

History

It was founded in 2021 by Sasha Logan and Tim Fennell.[1]

Description

The interior of the venue has been described as resembling a 'New York style loft apartment'. The venue consists of a dance floor and rooftop bar.[1] The music inside has been described as 'left-field', with quirky, experimental, hard-hitting and boundary-breaking music.[2] The programming varies, including nights featuring Techno, choir performances, performance art, or noise shows.[2]

The rooftop of the venue serves as an additional performance space. It features a standalone bar, a DJ booth, a sound system by void acoustics, kitchen pop-ups, and occasional film screenings.[2]

Notable acts

The venue has hosted notable acts including: Skee Mask, Shackleton,[4] and Yousuke Yukimatsu.[5]
