Metrobus fleet (Washington, D.C.)

This is a roster of the bus fleet of Metrobus, the fixed-route bus service run by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority in Washington, D.C.

The Metrobus fleet is the sixth-largest bus fleet in the United States. It provides more than 130 million passenger trips per year in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. As of 2020, the current Metrobus fleet consists of 1,571 buses of varying fuel types including diesel, compressed natural gas, diesel-electric hybrid, and battery-electric. [1] The buses in the fleet are assigned to one of eight bus divisions located throughout the area, with a ninth division currently under construction.[2] WMATA has a plan to move to a fully electric bus fleet by 2045.[3]
