Mariusz Anikiej (born 5 October 1972 in Hajnówka, Poland) is a Polish musician associated with the disco polo genre.

Biography

Anikiej began his musical career in the band Centrum. In 1989, together with Zenon Martyniuk, he co-founded the band Akcent, where he played keyboards and sang on early recordings.[1]

In 1991, both musicians moved to Belgium. After Akcent disbanded in 1992, Anikiej returned to Poland and, together with Marek Majewski, formed the band Marinero. In 1993, Akcent was reactivated, and Anikiej performed with the band until 1999. After leaving, he moved back to Belgium.

In 2007, together with Toni Pulkowski, he created a new music project called Versus, releasing their debut album Kolorowy świat. The arrangements were prepared by Adam Związek (AdamZ) from MAVOOI studio, who also co-composed most of the tracks.[2]

Mariusz Anikiej is married to Agata and has two daughters, Paulina and Karolina, and a son, Przemysław.
