Mansour is an Iranian film that was both directed and written by Siavash Sarmadi, with production by Jalil Shabani and Owj Arts and Media Organization in 2020. The film was showcased at the 39th Fajr Film Festival and made its debut in Iranian cinemas in 2021. The movie depicts various aspects of the life of Mansour Sattari, who was the former commander of the Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the development of the first Iranian fighter aircraft.[1][2][3][4][5]

Plot

Colonel Sattari is seriously looking for warplanes to equip the fighters. At first, they collaborated with an aircraft manufacturing factory and simply assembled parts imported from abroad. But the factory, with its sabotage, slowed down and even stopped their work and prevented the planes from reaching the army pilots. Colonel Sattari and his team initially tried to import a few warplanes, but they failed due to the Americans attacking and bombing the planes. Colonel Sattari ordered his team to use their own resources and knowledge to produce the parts needed for the planes in one of the army sheds. At first, no one was confident in his decision and they considered this impossible. Throughout the film, the audience witnesses Sattari's efforts to find a way to become self-sufficient.[6][7][8][9]
