Manbir Rai (Nepali: मानबीर राई) is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist). He was the Minister of Defence in the Government of Nepal before the Gen Z Protests.[1][2][3][4] Rai also served as a member of the 2nd Federal Parliament of Nepal before the dissolution of the Parliament. In the 2022 Nepalese general election, he was elected from the Solukhumbu 1 (constituency).[5]
