Maggie Leung

Maggie Leung Man-hau (Chinese: 梁敏巧, born 24 May 1995) is a Hong Kong hostess and actress, who was a reporter for the overseas edition of People's Daily and Oriental Daily (Hong Kong). She entered the entertainment industry by participating in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2019 and became a TVB artiste under the TVB manager contract.^[1] She also worked as a yoga instructor and piano teacher as a side job later.

Leung grew up in Sha Tau Kok and Fanling, and attended Fanling Assembly of God Kindergarten, Fanling Public School and Fanling Lutheran Secondary School.^[2] She started learning piano at the age of 6 and performed her own compositions on stage when she was in primary school,^[3] She was a member of the archery team in secondary school,^[4] also obtained a Diploma in Performance (Piano) from Trinity College London. In 2013, she enrolled in the Department of Journalism and Communication at Hong Kong Shue Yan University, and in 2014 she participated in reporting on the Umbrella Movement. In the summer of 2015, she interned at the overseas edition of the People's Daily, mainly responsible for reporting on tourism news. After graduating from university, she joined the Hong Kong news edition of Oriental Daily (Hong Kong). In May 2019, she posted on social media that she felt depressed in life and hoped to find something to stimulate her,^[5] so she signed up for the Miss Hong Kong Pageant that year.^[6][7]

Leung had planned to study at the Beijing Film Academy after the competition,^[8] but chose to sign with TVB.^[9]

Leung has been the location host for the program "Scoop" since July 2021.^[10] In October 2023, while investigating a suspected case of profiting from refugee food, she confronted the woman involved, "Mrs. Pang," and was subsequently assaulted, sustaining a cut to her lip. This incident sparked public outcry.^[11] In 2025, Leung's popularity soared after participating in the TVB dating reality show "A Date with Goddess".^[12]

Leung stated that her first boyfriend was extremely possessive and behaved in extreme ways, once making over a hundred phone calls to her in an hour. This suffocating relationship became unbearable, leading to their breakup. Her second boyfriend was repeatedly unfaithful, including cheating, using dating apps for casual sex, and even soliciting sexual services at her home. Her third relationship ended in 2024, with both parties amicably separating due to personality clashes.^[13][14]

In 2024, Leung interviewed Wong Chun-ho, nicknamed "Babyface," on the program "Scam Alert". She was subsequently pursued by him and even received a marriage proposal, but she refused his advances.^[15] In 2025, during her participation in the "A Date with Goddess", Leung once again rejected Wong Chun-ho, causing him to give up on pursuing her and find a new partner.^[16] Leung was ultimately paired with lawyer Matthew "Matt" Lau Kai-chun on the show, but later stated that the two were still getting to know each other and had not officially become a couple.^[17]
