Machynlleth Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl Droed Machynlleth) is a Welsh football team based in Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. They play in the Central Wales Southern Division.

History

Machynlleth Town were finalists in the 1901–02 Welsh Amateur Cup, losing 1–0 to Wrexham Victoria.[1][2]

Machynlleth played in the 1921–22 FA Cup, losing 7–0 to Chester in the extra preliminary round.[3]

In 2020 they were announced as members of the Ardal Leagues North East, which is in the third tier of the Welsh football league system[4] but withdrew from the league in July 2022 citing lack of player commitment.[5] From the 2022–23 season they instead play in the Central Wales Southern Division.
