Luigi Ferrajoli
Luigi Ferrajoli (born Florence, Italy, August 6, 1940) is an Italian jurist, a disciple of Norberto Bobbio. He is one of the leading theorists of Garantism (legal theory) (garantismo jurídico), a theory he initially developed within the field of criminal law but which he regards as a general paradigm applicable to the protection of all fundamental rights.[1] Ferrajoli defines himself as a critical legal positivist.[2]
