Plot summary
Nancy Blair, a lively and independent young woman, and Anthony Cowles, a charismatic man with dreams of success. The story unfolds in the glamorous world of 1920s high society, where misunderstandings, romantic entanglements, and comedic situations abound.
Nancy, the daughter of a wealthy family, is determined to assert her independence and find her own path in life. Her strong-willed nature often puts her at odds with her family, particularly her mother, Mrs. Ann Blair, who expects Nancy to conform to societal norms. Meanwhile, Anthony Cowles, an ambitious young man, is striving to make a name for himself in business, but his plans are complicated when he crosses paths with Nancy.
The two are drawn together through a series of chance encounters, leading to humorous and heartfelt moments as they navigate their growing feelings for one another. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of characters, including Nancy's father, Robert Blair, who is more understanding of her rebellious spirit, and a variety of comedic side characters, such as bumbling detectives, nosy servants, and eccentric acquaintances.
