Kim Ji-won (Korean: 김지원; born November 21, 2004), known professionally as Liz, is a South Korean singer under Starship Entertainment. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Ive.
Early life
Liz was born on November 21, 2004, in Jeju Province, South Korea.[1][2]
Career
2021–present: Debut with Ive, solo activities
Liz was revealed as a vocalist of Ive on November 5, 2021, the fourth member to be revealed.[3][4] Liz officially debuted as a member of Ive on December 1, 2021, with group's single album titled Eleven,[5][6] which topped all South Korean charts upon debut.[7][8][9] Later on, they won both the Rookie of the Year award and the Song of the Year Daesang (grand prize) award.[10][11] On December 15, 2024, she released a song titled "Summer", the seventh track of Love Your Enemy OST.[12] On February 22, 2025, Liz and fellow Ive member Gaeul were selected as special MCs on the MBC show Show! Music Core.[13] On May 18, 2025, she released the song "Heavy Love" for the soundtrack of Heavenly Ever After.[14][15] On September 27, 2025, Liz appeared on the MBC variety show Hangout with Yoo for a special "80s Seoul Music Festival" episode. She performed a remake of Lee Ji-yeon's "Stop the Wind," earning positive responses for her vocal tone, retro-themed styling, and faithful delivery of the song. Her performance was praised by the program's MCs and judges, and the official audio version was later released through major music platforms.[16]

Liz has been featured in various domestic and international fashion magazines. In March 2022, she appeared in a beauty pictorial for Elle Korea in collaboration with Olive Young,[17] followed by a photoshoot for Singles Korea's December 2022 issue.[18] In July 2023, she was the digital cover model for Harper's Bazaar Korea.[19] She then served as a YK Edition cover model for L'Officiel Korea's Spring/Summer 2024 issue with her group members Rei, Gaeul, and Leeseo.[20] In 2025, Liz appeared in the June issue of Chinese magazine PowerCircles and the October issue of Waves China.[21][22] She was later featured as a cover model for L'Officiel Singapore's December 2025 issue and continued into the January 2026 issue with an in-depth cover story about touring, songwriting, and future plans.[23]
Liz has also attended numerous brand pop-up events and fashion related activities. In June 2023, she took part in a photocall for Valextra's pop-up event.[24] In April 2024, she attended a Coach 2024 brand pop-up,[25] followed by a LoveM brand pop-up in September[26] and an MLB 2024 pop-up event in November.[27] On February 20, 2025, Liz was present at the Longines store renewal opening event.[28] On February 21, she attended the Coach "Tabby Shop" pop-up.[29] On June 20, 2025, she joined Valentino's 2025 Fall collection pop-up event.[30] On June 29, 2025, she threw the ceremonial first pitch at Twins vs. KIA Tigers KBO League game.[31] In October 2025, Liz attended Valentino's 2025 Paris Fashion Week show,[32] as well as a 2025 brand event for Canada Goose.[33]
In 2022, Liz was selected as a campaign model for Olive Young's vegan beauty campaign, appearing in related advertising content and promotional visuals.[17] On May 15, 2023, Zigzag, a style commerce platform operated by Kakao Style, released a video of Liz, who was selected as the campaign model, along with news of its 2023 brand campaign.[34] Liz was selected as the model for the Korean clothing brand 8seconds in September 2025. A brand representative for 8seconds referred to Liz's role as a way to "effectively showcase 8 seconds' key styling for this fall" and enhance the brand's appeal to younger consumers specially Gen Z.[35] On October 10, Liz was announced as the new muse of nature beauty brand S.Nature. The brand mentioned that choice Liz because of her pure and enchanting image that fits perfect with the brand philosophy.[36]
