Kelowna is the largest city in the Okanagan Valley and the interior of British Columbia with a population of 160,507.[2] Currently, the tallest building in the city is The Eli at Water Street by the Park, at 42-storeys tall. It was completed in 2025, reaching height of 135 m (443 ft). It is the tallest building between Greater Vancouver and Calgary, and the tallest building in British Columbia outside of Greater Vancouver.

The city has seen a significant boom and densification of its downtown core in recent years, especially from the early 2020s.

As of June 2024, Kelowna has 3 high-rises over 100 m (328 ft), with several more developments of similar height being approved or currently under construction - such as UBCO Tower.
