List of Alpha Psi Omega chapters

Alpha Psi Omega is an American honor society for participants in collegiate theatre.[1] Delta Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society, is Alpha Psi Omega's junior-college division. Originally, the society called its chapters "casts".[2][3]

  1. ^ Chapter formed at Missouri Wesleyan College, which merged with Baker University in 1926.
  2. ^ The college closed in 1929.
  3. ^ The college closed in 1927.
  4. ^ The college closed in 1945.
  5. ^ The institution was formed as the State Normal School at Cheney. It became the Eastern Washington College of Education in 1937, Eastern Washington State College in 1961, and Eastern Washington University in 1977.
  6. ^ The college closed in 1945.
  7. ^ Chapter was formed at Arkansas College, which became Lyon College in 1994.
  8. ^ The college closed in 1933.
  9. ^ Chapter formed at the Woman's College of Alabama, now Huntingdon College.
  10. ^ In 1932 the normal school was taken over by the University of Georgia and became known as Coordinate College.
  11. ^ Chapter formed at Nebraska State Teachers College, now Wayne State College.
  12. ^ Chapter formed at the Mississippi Women's College, now William Carey University.
  13. ^ Chapter formed at Indiana Central College, now the University of Indianapolis.
  14. ^ The college closed in 1957.
  15. ^ The college merged with Mercer University in 1987.
  16. ^ Chapter formed at Arkansas State Teachers College, now the University of Central Arkansas.
  17. ^ The college closed in 1995.
  18. ^ Chapter formed at West Texas State Teachers College, now West Texas A&M University.
  19. ^ The college closed in 1997.
  20. ^ Chapter formed at Fenn College, a private school that was purchased and became the public Cleveland State University in 1965.
  21. ^ Chapter formed at the Texas College of Arts and Industries, now Texas A&M University–Kingsville.
  22. ^ Chapter formed at Morris Harvey College, now the University of Charleston.
  23. ^ Chapter was established at the New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, now called New Mexico State University.
  24. ^ Chapter was established at the East Texas State Teachers College, now called Texas A&M University–Commerce.
  25. ^ The university closed in 2018.
  26. ^ This college closed in 1989.
  27. ^ The chapter was established at Northern State Teachers College, now Northern State University.
  28. ^ Chapter formed at Glassboro State College, now called Rowan University.
  29. ^ College merged with St. John's University in 1971.
  30. ^ Chapter was formed at the University of Texas–Pan American which was replaced by the newly formed university, the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in August 2015.
  31. ^ Chapter formed at California Polytechnic School Kellogg-Vorhees Unit, which became California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1972.
  32. ^ Chapter formed at the Alabama Christian College, which became Faulkner University in 1985.
  33. ^ The college closed in 1992.
  34. ^ Chapter formed at Castleton State College, later called Castleton University. In July 2023, Castleton University merged with Northern Vermont University and Vermont Technical College to form Vermont State University.

  2. ^ Chapter formed at Mt. Aloysius Junior College, with became Mount Aloysius College in 1991.
  3. ^ Chapter formed at Northeast Mississippi Junior College, which became Northeast Mississippi Community College in1987.
  4. ^ The college closed in 1993.
  5. ^ Chapter was founded at Odessa Junior College, which became Odessa College in 1976.
  6. ^ Chapter formed at Okaloosa Walton Junior College, which became Okaloosa-Walton College in 1988 and Okaloosa-Walton College 2003.
  7. ^ Chapter was established at the Worthington Junior College, which became Worthington State Junior College in 1964 and Worthington Community College in 1973.
