Liolaemus montanezi is a species of lizard in the family Liolaemidae. The species is endemic to Argentina.[2]

Etymology

The specific name, montanezi, is in honor of Alvaro Montañez of Parque Nacional San Guillermo, Argentina.[3]: 182 

Geographic distribution

Liolaemus montanezi is found in western Argentina, in San Juan Province.[1][2]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitat of Liolaemus montanezi is shrubland, at elevations around 2,300 m (7,500 ft).[1]

Reproduction

The mode of reproduction of Liolaemus montanezi is unknown.[2]
