Levan Mgaloblishvili (Georgian: ლევან მგალობლიშვილი; born 16 August 1977, Sukhumi, Abkhazian ASSR, Georgian SSR) is a Georgian politician. He served as Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia from 18 September 2024 to 2 June 2025.[1]

Biography

Mgaloblishvili graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, where he studied international economic relations. From 2002 to 2003, he worked at the Senaki Gamgeoba as an assistant to the Gamgebeli. Between 2003 and 2004, he was employed as a specialist at the Tbilisi City Council and Government Office, in the department responsible for relations with self-governing organizations. From 2004 to 2005, he served as Head of the Control Service of the same office.

In 2005–2006, he worked as director of Shuknakhtebi LLC, a company subordinate to Tbilisi City Hall. During 2008–2009, he was associated with the state-owned company Samshoblo Publishing House LLC. From 2010 to 2013, he served as Head of the Secretariat of the Education and Culture Commission of the Tbilisi City Council.

From 2016 to 2019, Mgaloblishvili was the Executive Secretary of the Abasha District organization of the political party Georgian Dream .

In 2019, he became a member of the 9th convocation of the Parliament of Georgia, elected via the party list of Georgian Dream .[2] Since 5 January 2021, he has served as a member of the 10th convocation of the Parliament of Georgia.[3]

On 18 September 2024, Mgaloblishvili was appointed Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia. [4]He resigned from the position on 2 June 2025 and was succeded by Giorgi Jincharadze.[5][6]
