Knud Haakonssen FBA FRSE FRHistS (born 1947) is a Danish historian of moral and political philosophy and emeritus Professor of Intellectual History at the University of St. Andrews, known for his work on early modern thought, natural law theory, and the Scottish Enlightenment. He held the Chair of Intellectual History at the University of Sussex between 2005 and 2011.[1]
