Kamohelo Thabiso Pule (born 6 June 2002), professionally known as Kamo WW, is a South African influencer, singer, television personality and actor. He is best known for his starring role on the YouTube original reality show Birth of Stars. He made his first debut single "Abafana" in 2023 and became the first openly queer amapiano artist.
Life and career
Pule was born in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa and grew up in Springs, South Africa in the East Rand. He had a clear idea of wanting to work in media industry.[1]
Pule made his breakout career moment after his starring role on the YouTube original LGBTQ+ documentary reality show Birth of Stars alongside his friends Coachella Randy and Kagiso Mogola for two seasons before focusing on his music career.[2][3] He collaboration with seval notable brands include Adidas, Converse, Pantene, Dolce & Gabbana, Maybelline, H&M and RICH MNISI.[4][5][6]
Pule refer amapiano, electronic and gqom as his music genres.[7] He made his first debut single "Abafana" featuring Xduppy and more artist in 2023.[8] The same he released his second single "Chommie" featuring Chley.[9] In 2024, he released his debut EP namely Pose with two singles "Shake (A)" and YihYih (Thiba).[10][11][12] By 2025, he is one best of Amapiano artist in South Africa as he released hit maker single "23 (Chipi)".[13] He play the role of Lelz in Netflix South African crime series Bad Influencer.[14][15][16]
Personal life
Pule proudly identify as queer gay and came out to his family when he was a teenager.[17][18]
