Jolanta Tarvida (born 8 February 2000, in Bauska) is a Latvian taekwondo athlete. Her older sister, Inese Tarvida, is also a taekwondo practitioner.[1]

Career

Tarvida started practicing taekwondo in 2006. She won the silver medal in the under 44 kg category at the 2014 World Taekwondo Cadet Championships in Baku.[2] In 2017, she won a bronze medal at the European Junior Taekwondo Championships in Larnaca, Cyprus.[3] The same year, at the 2017 European Taekwondo Championships – Olympic weights (G-1 class), she claimed bronze, sharing the podium with her sister Inese, who took silver.[4] Tarvida then won silver in the under 57 kg category at the 2018 European U21 Taekwondo Championships in Warsaw, and a year later became the U21 European champion in Helsingborg in the same category.[5][6] At the 2023 European Taekwondo Championships in Belgrade, she secured the bronze medal in the up to 67 kg weight class.[7]
