Johnny K. Kpehe (born July 8, 1982) is a Liberian politician serving as Senator of Bong County. [1][2] He was elected during the 2023 Liberian general elections as an independent candidate and has participated in legislative and constituency development activities. [3]

Early life

According to his official biography, Kpehe was born in Balama Town, Suakoko District, Bong County. He holds a Bachelor of Science in management (accounting emphasis) from Cuttington University and an MBA from Cuttington Graduate School. He is married to Princess D. Kpehe and their union is blessed with five children. [1]

Political career

Kpehe contested the 2023 senatorial elections as an independent candidate to represent Bong County. [4] During the campaign period he outlined his motivations and presented his platforms.[5][6] The National Elections Commission listed Johnny Kpehe among candidates who won seats in the 2023 senatorial elections.[3]

On 13 June 2025, Kpehe was elected Chair of the Senate Committee on Internal Affairs, Governance and Reconciliation. [7][8] In January 2025, Kpehe presented an annual committee reports and used his committee platform to call for greater support for youth development programs in Liberia. [9][10]

Throughout his tenure, Kpehe has undertaken several constituency-level projects and interventions. In 2024, he donated 500 gallons of fuel to the Bong County Health Team to support health facilities and ambulance operations across the county. [11]

Later that year, he earmarked US$100,000 for the construction of an ambulance hub in Gbarnga intended to improve emergency medical response capacity in the county. [12][13]

In 2025, he dedicated the Yila Clinic in Kpaai District, a rural health facility constructed to expand access to primary care services and donated an ambulance to support its operations. [14][15]
