Missouri House of Representatives

In 2025, Dean participated in a sit-in with other Democratic representatives in protest of mid-decade redistricting. During the special session, Dean sent a message to representative Cecelie Williams describing "an oral sex act with the president and questioned how Republicans could talk while engaged in it." A screenshot was shared widely, including a social media post by Adam Schwadron which instigated harassment and death threats toward Dean. Minority leader Ashley Aune removed Dean from his committees, and a House ethics investigation was opened.[6]
