Jefferson Morley

Jefferson Morley is an American independent journalist and author. He has written a number of books about American history, particularly the history of the CIA and the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Morley grew up in Minneapolis and attended Yale University.[1] He worked for The New Republic,[2] and later as a Washington Post writer for 15 years.[1][3] He has also written for Salon[4] and The Intercept.[5]

In 2007, he became the national editorial director for the Center for Independent Media.[3] As of 2022, Morley was vice-president of the Mary Ferrell Foundation.[6] He is the editor of the substack blog "JFK Facts".[7] In 2025 he testified at the first hearing of the House Oversight Committee's "Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets".[8]
