Javier Muñoz Riquelme is a Chilean politician who serves as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, representing the 17th District for the 2026–2030 term.[1][2]
Biography
Muñoz has a long background in municipal politics, having served as mayor of the commune of Curicó in the Maule Region for three consecutive terms prior to his election to the national legislature.[1] He emphasizes community-based initiatives, local development projects, and maintaining strong links with his constituency in the Maule.
Political career
Muñoz entered national politics as a candidate for deputy in the 17th District, covering communes in the Maule Region. He ran under the banner of the PDC and secured election for the 2026–2030 legislative period.[3]
