Jarabá (German: Briegarten; Hungarian: Jarabó, until 1899: Jaraba) is a village and municipality in Brezno District, in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 840 metres (2,760 ft)[3] and covers an area of 15.38 km2 (5.94 sq mi) (2024).[4]

History

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1540 as a mining settlement.
