Jack Cashin Doherty (born Jack Colin Doherty; October 8, 2003) is an American prankster and former Kick streamer who performs stunts and pranks. He first rose to prominence in 2016 after his early flipping videos—beginning with a marker-flipping clip uploaded on September 29, 2016, went viral and attracted millions of views. His channel saw a major surge in 2017 following the success of a video of himself flipping water bottles, a video that further boosted his subscriber growth and helped push him into mainstream YouTube popularity.
Doherty has since become a controversial internet figure due to his pranks involving frequent public altercations, high-profile disputes, and several incidents related to his livestreams and personal conduct.
Early life
Jack Doherty was born on October 8, 2003, on Long Island, New York, to Joseph "Mark" Doherty and Anna Szarej-Doherty.[2] He has a brother named Michael and a sister named Joanna. He is of Irish and Polish descent. In 2021, Doherty graduated from North Shore High School.[3]
Internet career
Doherty's first video, uploaded on September 29, 2016, featured him flipping markers twice in a row. The video quickly gained popularity, amassing 29 million views by October 2024.[4] His early content primarily consisted of flipping various objects, from markers to water bottles.[5] On January 13, 2017, Doherty uploaded a video titled "I FLIPPED ALL OF THESE!!", that marked his breakthrough into mainstream popularity. The video went viral, significantly boosting his subscriber count and establishing him as a prominent YouTuber.[6][7]
In 2023, Doherty appeared on the talk show Dr. Phil, where a neighbor (whom he called a Karen) complained that Doherty was "disturbing the neighborhood" and "waking up their kids" due to the noise of his dirt bike. Dr Phil shamed him for "bragging about the fact that she's getting mad", and asking his viewers "50,000 likes and I'll do it again", calling him a disrespectful bully. Doherty's parents said Jack "continues to push the envelope with his rude and disruptive pranks", and as a result, has had close encounters with the police.[8] In October 2023, Doherty attended David Dobrik's Halloween party, where he was involved in a verbal altercation with other guests. The situation escalated when his bodyguard allegedly attacked one of the guests, leading to a lawsuit for assault and battery filed on February 21, 2024.[9][10]
On October 5, 2024, during a live stream, Doherty hydroplaned along a Miami highway, crashing his McLaren 570S while looking at his phone while driving. This led to his ban from the streaming platform Kick, and his cameraman, Michael, receiving stitches on his head for his injuries.[11][12] Doherty was cited by Florida Highway Patrol for using a wireless communication device while driving.[13] On January 9, 2025, he was unbanned from Kick,[14] but he was banned again nine days later, following a fight between him, his security, and a heckler which was livestreamed on the platform.[15] In late February 2025, Doherty broke his collarbone during a failed biking stunt, stating that it was his "worst accident yet".[16]
Personal life
Doherty lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.[17] Doherty was engaged to OnlyFans actress McKinley Richardson from early 2023 until March 2025.[17][18]
Legal troubles
On November 14, 2025, Doherty was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, for traffic stunts, possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine),[19] possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence.[20] Police say the arrest occurred after Doherty refused to move his vehicle despite blocking traffic.[21][22] On November 15, 2025, Doherty was released on $3,500 bail and set to appear in court at a later date.[23][24] Doherty recalled his time in jail as "the worst 24-hours ever".[25]
