Ivan and Phoebe (Ukrainian: Іван і Феба, Ivan i Feba) is a 2019 novel by Ukrainian writer Oksana Lutsyshyna.
Awards and honors
- The novel won the Taras Shevchenko National Prize in Literature in 2021[1]
- The Lviv UNESCO City of Literature Prize, and appeared in English translation by Nina Murray from Deep Vellum in 2023.[2][3][4]
Background and publication
Ivan and Phoebe was first published in Ukrainian by Vydavnytstvo Staroho Leva (Old Lion Publishing House) in 2019.[5] The English translation by poet and diplomat Nina Murray was released by Deep Vellum in June 2023.[4][6]
