Premise
A surprisingly sexy, darkly funny, emotional rollercoaster.
In this light-and-dark comedy, June and her mom Lela travel to the Azores islands for a grief anniversary, with contrasting ways of coping. A charming surfer brings balance as they (and we) surf the waves of life, loss, flirting… an unforgettable ride.

Production
Honeyjoon won the Tribeca AT&T Untold Stories Award for $1 million, the largest film production prize in the world. It was selected to premiere in competition at the 2025 Tribeca Festival. [4]
In November 2024, Ayden Mayeri, Amira Casar and José Condessa were announced to have joined the cast as principal photography began.[5]
It was developed at the TorinoFilmLab,[6] ComedyLab and CineQuaNonLab.[7]
It won the SFFILM Rainin Grant.[8]
Release
It had its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Festival on June 7, 2025.[9]
