Glendene (electorate)

Glendene will be a future parliamentary electorate in the 2026 New Zealand general election, returning one Member of Parliament to the New Zealand House of Representatives.

Population centres

A review of electorate boundaries was conducted after the 2023 New Zealand general election. A proposal to reconfigure three electorates in western Auckland was confirmed in August 2025, resulting in the new electorate of Glendene being formed from parts of the former Kelston and Te Atatū electorates.[1]

Communities included in Glendene are Avondale, Kelston, Glendene, Te Atatū South and the Te Atatū peninsula. The electorate borders Henderson to the west at Oriata Stream, Waitakere to the south at Great North Road and the North Auckland Line, Mount Roskill to the south east at Great North Road and Mount Albert to the east at Oakley Creek.
