Gail L. Pellerin[1] (born June 24, 1962) is an American politician who is a member of the California State Assembly from 28th district. The district includes most of Santa Cruz County and part of Santa Clara County. She previously served as Santa Cruz County Clerk from 1993 until her retirement in 2020.[2] Pellerin is Jewish.[3]

Political Career

Since her first term in the State Assembly, Pellerin has been the chair of the Elections committee, as well as serving on the Appropriations, Natural Resources, Rules, and Water, Parks, and Wildlife committees. In her second term, she has continued to serve on the Appropriations, Elections, and Natural Resources committees, as well as the Business and Professions committee and Privacy and Consumer Protection committee.[4]

In August 2025, Pellerin endorsed Proposition 50, part of the broader 2025-2026 United States redistricting effort.[5]
