Etawah Sadar[1][2][3][4] is a tehsil (sub-district) of Etawah district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is also known as Sadar Etawah[1][2] or Tehsil Sadar[3]. It includes Etawah city, which also serves as the district headquarters.

Location

Etawah Sadar[2] is a tehsil of Etawah district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.It is situated at the geographical coordinates of approximately 26.77198° N latitude and 79.02112° E[5] longitude and encompasses the main commercial and market area of Etawah city, functioning as an important administrative and trading centre of the district.

Administration

The tehsil is administered by a Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM)[2]. It is responsible for revenue administration, land records, and coordination of local governance. Etawah Sadar consists of urban areas and surrounding rural villages.

Transportation

Etawah Sadar is well connected by road and rail. Etawah Junction is an important railway station on the Howrah–Delhi main line, providing connectivity to major cities of northern India.
