Engagement bait
Engagement bait is manipulative content that is designed to elicit users into interaction.[1][2] Used in social media marketing, the artificial interactions, typically in the form of comments, likes, shares, or tags, are used subsequently monetized and used to popularize products and narratives.[3][4]
