It is one of the largest organizers of business-to-business (B2B) trade shows and conferences in the United States, operating more than 140 annual events and multiple digital media platforms across diverse industries including design, construction, food, technology, jewelry, sports, and healthcare.[2]
History
Emerald was formed in 2013 when Onex Corporation acquired Nielsen Expositions for approximately US$950 million, creating a standalone entity focused on B2B events.[3] In 2017, Emerald completed its initial public offering (IPO) on the NYSE, raising about US$264 million.[3] The company expanded through acquisitions, including George Little Management (2014), EH Media (2018), and G3 Communications (2019). It officially rebranded from Emerald Expositions to Emerald in 2020.

Emerald operates a portfolio of trade shows, conferences, and integrated media products designed to connect buyers and sellers and foster industry growth.
