Biography

Urquieta has been an active figure of the Party of the People in the Coquimbo Region, where she has served as regional president of the PDG, participating in internal negotiations and alliance discussions with other centrist forces.[2][3]

She has been publicly associated with Franco Parisi’s political project and with grassroots fund-raising efforts for the party during its early expansion phase.[4]

Political career

Urquieta emerged as a regional leader of the Party of the People in Coquimbo, defending a discourse of independence from traditional coalitions and emphasizing that PDG votes “are not for sale and are not negotiable” in the context of parliamentary agreements.[2]

In the 2025 parliamentary elections she ran for deputy in the 5th District (covering the entire Coquimbo Region) under the PDG list. With 3.50% of the vote, she secured one of the seven seats in the district.[1]
