Location

East Avenue was a former Rochester Industrial and Rapid Transit Railway station located in Rochester, New York. This station is unique as outside of the streetcar loops at Rowlands and General Motors this is the only station that had a side platform. This platform serviced the westbound track.[2] Nearby this station was the Rochester and Syracuse Railroad ramp connecting the interurban with the Rochester Subway.[3] This line closed in 1956 along with the rest of the line.[4]
