Double Act is a 1987 Australian stage play by Barry Creyton.
Premise
A couple, George and Alexandra, are unable to stay together or stay apart.
Background
Creyton wrote the play recovering from a broken leg. He and Noeline Brown starred in the original production which opened in September 1987. Since then it has been produced in more than twenty languages. [1] "It's a comedy but a serious one," said Creyton.[2]
Reception
Reviewing the original 1987 production the Sydney Morning Herald called it "infectious entertainment."[3]
