Dolná Ždaňa (Hungarian: Alsózsadány) is a village and municipality in Žiar nad Hronom District in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 238 metres (781 ft)[3] and covers an area of 8.16 km2 (3.15 sq mi) (2024).[4]

History

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1391 (Sdan), when it belonged to Repište. In the 17th century, it passed to Banská Štiavnica’s Mine Chamber.
